What exactly is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a revolutionary way to straighten teeth and correct a number of orthodontic problems. If your teeth are overcrowded, crooked, or if you have malocclusion problems, Invisalign can help to straighten teeth and make them more uniform. The process is easy and the clear aligner trays are virtually invisible to the naked eye. This is a wonderful alternative to braces which require metal brackets and wires.

Why might you need Invisalign?

If you have ever been told that you should have braces, Invisalign might be the right option for you. These clear aligner trays work by applying pressure to the teeth, slowly adjusting them into place. The treatment is done under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Turchin, who is trained in treatment using the Invisalign system. Before being fitted for your first set of aligners, you’ll need to come in for a consultation and series of x-rays to create a detailed treatment plan.

What makes you a candidate for Invisalign?

The first step to being considered for Invisalign treatment is to come in for a consultation. With the help of an exam, a series of x-rays, and impressions, we can determine if your smile would benefit from Invisalign. The majority of patients who want Invisalign are able to receive this specific type of orthodontic treatment. You will need to keep up with treatment and wear the trays for no less than 22 hours per day for the system to be effective.

What should you expect with Invisalign treatment?

You will first come in for a consultation with Dr. Andrew Turchin. He will examine your teeth, take x-rays and impressions, to determine the best course of treatment. Additional impressions are then made to create your own personalized Invisalign aligner trays. These trays should be worn for no less than 22 hours a day in order for them to be effective. You will need to come back into the office after several weeks to have new Invisalign trays made for you. Depending on your orthodontic needs and the treatment plan that was given to you, you may need to wear your Invisalign trays for anywhere from six months to two years for effective results.

This gentleman desired a brighter smile, but wanted a natural look to suit his face. New veneers were handcrafted to look completely natural, and his smile was designed to better support his face.

A long time Aspenite didn’t like her two front teeth. After proper analysis and a Smile Test DriveTM we determined it was a more complex problem than just two teeth. Her bite had destroyed her teeth and smile, and aged her face. So we fixed her bite and smile using our Ageless Smile algorithm, which turned back the clock.

This 40 something Aspen and Sydney resident presented looking for a better smile. Because after 2 rounds of Invisalign and plenty of whitening, he was still left wanting. This hospital exec traveled for a couple of hours in search of the smile of her dreams.
