Meet Dr. Daryl Gasca
Raised in Reno, Nevada, Dr. Gasca was introduced to the outdoors growing up in the Sierra Nevadas, near Lake Tahoe. Little did he know, the Sierra Nevada mountains would only scratch the surface for his passion to seek and live in a smaller mountain-town community. After completing undergraduate training at Whitman College, a liberal-arts school in Washington state, he wanted to seek out a new experience to continue to grow and mature. He traveled across the country to attend New York University’s College of Dentistry, located in Manhattan New York. The experience of going from a small town in Washington state to the big city, promoted personal growth, new perspective and awareness of people and community. Upon finishing dental school in New York, he moved back to Washington state to complete his specialty training at the University of Washington. In Seattle he completed his master’s degree and specialty certificate in periodontics. Having gotten to experience both coasts, where philosophies in dentistry vary greatly, Dr. Gasca had a better understanding of how dentistry was planned and executed in practice.
In 2014, Colorado became the perfect state to start growing a practice. After working as an associate for one year, he bought into a private practice in southeast Aurora, CO. Here he helped grow the office tremendously over the next 6 years. This included increasing production in the practice by a multiple of five and strengthened relationships with over 40 general practitioners. In 2021 Dr. Gasca decided to sell his share of the practice to pursue his dream of living in the mountains with his wife, Sarah.
Upon selling his practice in May of 2021, Dr. Gasca was asked to join and create a periodontal program in the state of New Mexico for Pacific Dental Services. With an interest in learning more about another model of practice, Dr. Gasca took on this challenge working out of 11 general practices throughout Santa Fe and Albuquerque New Mexico. Setting out with the intention to both learn and grow in this model, Dr. Gasca was able to establish solid foundations within the general practice community and help elevate office’s periodontal programs. This included increasing the number of referrals into the periodontal programs, supporting the teams to understand how periodontics fits into everyday practice, and increase the quality of patient outcomes.
Dr. Gasca and his wife Sarah have moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in pursuit of an amazing community to live, work and grow. Dr. Gasca intends to provide new and more collaborative experience for patient’s and practitioners alike by providing in-house specialty mixed with outstanding customer service.
